ISO 9001:2008 - Introduction to the Changes

As part of the normal revision process, ISO 9001:2008 will need to be put in place by organizations over the next few months. While the changes to ISO 9001:2008 are relatively minor, users of ISO 9001:2008 should be aware of the specifics and, in particular, the implications for their organizations.

Because the changes are minor, the video presentation does not go into great detail. The presentation, does however point out the key implications and considerations that organizations should consider as the move to make these relatively minor adjustments to their QMS's. In addition, this presentation outlines some specific insights and recommendations that may prove helpful for organizations as they move to align their ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems with the ISO 9001:2008 requirements. markA

This video is presented by Mark Ames who is an active voting member of the ISO 9001:2008 Technical Advisory Group for the US. Mark has participated in the TC176 TAG since 1992 where he has been involved in the 1994, 2000 and 2008 revisions to ISO.

While no training on the changes in ISO 9001:2008 is required, AQS Management Systems recognizes that some people or organizations, including certification auditors may ask for evidence that training has been completed.
