This course is designed to provide new auditors with a basic understanding of how to conduct an internal audit. In easy to understand terms, the class covers the audit conventions for preparing, performing, reporting and Follow-up. The course is focused on what new internal auditors need to know to conduct an audit. The lessons follow the audit process from initial acceptance of the audit assignment through reporting what was found. This is a basic auditing course for beginners who will be conducting audits using any performance standard (such as: ISO 9001, TS 16949, FDA GMPs, FAA, ISO 14000, HACCP and so on). The Internal Auditing Basics course consists of a series of lessons, illustrations, diagrams, examples, supplemental handout information, interactive exercises and quizzes. A handy desk reference, QualityWBT comprehensive glossary, and Auditor Code of Conduct are included in the class as pdf files. Successful completion of the class will result in a certificate for 9 contact hours (0.9 CTUs). The subscription length is 90 days (plus one free 30-day subscription extension, if needed)...

Meet the Instructor:

russellJ.P. Russell is owner of JP Russell and Associates and Director of Operations for QualityWBT Center for Education (www.QualityWBT.com). Mr. Russell is an ASQ Fellow, an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, and former RAB QMS Lead Auditor. He is a member of ASQ, Institute of Internal Auditors, Standards Engineering Society, US TAG TC176 and Secretary of TG 9001-9004. Mr. Russell has been a speaker at several national conferences and regional organizational meetings and is an ASQ qualified instructor.

JP is an instructional designer in the areas of auditing, standards, and improvement, has authored over 12 books on process/systems auditing/continual improvement, edited the Quality Audit Handbook 1st and 2nd ed, and the ASQ Auditng Handbook, and is a regular columnist for ASQ's Quality Progress magazine.
